Softball Game Preview: Fairlawn Jets vs. Russia Raiders

Fairlawn is 0-3 against Russia since March of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Jets will welcome the Raiders at 5:00 p.m.

Fairlawn fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Botkins on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-3 to the Trojans. The Jets just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Fairlawn saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avah Roediger, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Roediger is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Russia posted their closest win since May 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past St. Henry 5-4.

Fairlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Russia, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
