Basketball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Valley last Friday, Rogers came back down to earth. The Rogers Pirates took a 75-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pullman Greyhounds on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-69 back in January.

Rogers dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Pullman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coming up, Rogers will venture away from home to challenge Deer Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rogers is facing Deer Park at the right time seeing as Deer Park is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Pullman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pullman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
