Baseball Recap: Piketon Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Unioto, Piketon was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Eastern Eagles as they made off with a 20-3 victory. That looming 20-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Redstreaks yet this season.

Piketon pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.7 runs this season. As for Eastern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Piketon will take on Westfall at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Redstreaks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastern, they will square off against Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
