Recap: Industrial Cobras vs. Edna Cowboys
The Industrial Cobras and the Edna Cowboys squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Industrial Cobras had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 27-24. Industrial's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Industrial still got an impressive performance from Cooper Martin, who rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Martin has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played.
Industrial's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Edna, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.
Industrial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Edna will be playing at home against Blanco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Blanco's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups.
