Baseball Game Preview: Rivercrest Colts vs. Prairie Ridge Wolves

The Rivercrest Colts will square off against the Prairie Ridge Wolves at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Rivercrest is looking for their season's first win.

Rivercrest came up short against Forreston on Monday, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, Prairie Ridge posted their closest victory since April 24, 2024 on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Sylvan Hills 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Riley Golden tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit.

On the hitting side, Prairie Ridge's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Coyle, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Rivercrest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Prairie Ridge, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
