Basketball Recap: Vail Christian Starts Season with Win Against Cedaredge + How To Watch

Vail Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cedaredge Bruins, sneaking past 78-76. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rayman Romanin was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 53% from the field on his way to 23 points and three steals. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high. Oliver Neumann was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine boards.

Cedaredge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zach Mannon, who went 7-for-8 en route to 18 points and three steals, and Dane Brown, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Blair, who posted 13 points along with six boards and five assists.

Cedaredge's record is now 0-2.

Vail Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-43 loss against Highland on the 6th. As for Cedaredge, they have also already played their next game, a 53-27 victory against Vail Mountain on the 6th.
