Volleyball Recap: Fort Recovery Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wapakoneta on Monday, Fort Recovery came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Fort Loramie Redskins on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Indians have struggled against the Redskins recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Fort Recovery took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Bridget Homan and Cameron Muhlenkamp, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kayden Ranly and her 12 assists. Brynn Willmann controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fort Recovery's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Fort Loramie, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Fort Recovery has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against New Knoxville on the 25th. As for Fort Loramie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fairlawn on the 25th.
