Volleyball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Concord was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Forest Hills on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spiders fell just short of the Mount Pleasant Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Spiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Concord wouldn't go down easily and took Mount Pleasant into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 16-25, 19-25, 15-8.

Mckinley Williams paced Concord's offense, picking up four kills. Williams got some help from Adeline Fulton and her 11 assists. Fulton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Concord's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Mount Pleasant, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will venture away from home to face off against Hickory Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Pleasant, they will head out to take on Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
