Inspiration Academy entered their tilt with Austin Prep on Wednesday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Austin Prep Cougars a 15-0 shutout. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Emma Szabo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Avery Bouquin was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. Hannah Pope was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Inspiration Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Inspiration Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inspiration Academy will challenge Elizabeth Forward at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Austin Prep, they will head out to square off against Reading Memorial at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
