Portsmouth had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Smithfield Sentinels by a score of 51-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-61 back in January.

Portsmouth's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Smithfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Portsmouth will square off against Westerly on Saturday. As for Smithfield, they will take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
