Basketball Game Preview: Seaside Seagulls vs. North Marion Huskies

The Seaside Seagulls are taking a road trip to take on the North Marion Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Monday, Seaside came up short against Marist and fell 53-43. While losing is never fun, the Seagulls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Spartans are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, North Marion lost 49-26 to La Grande last Saturday. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Seaside has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for North Marion, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Seaside came out on top in a nail-biter against North Marion when the teams last played back in January of 2022, sneaking past 42-39. Does Seaside have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Marion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
