Basketball Recap: Attica Comes Up Short

Attica played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Parke Heritage Wolves and fell 81-19. The Red Ramblers haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Attica saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caiden Ashley posted ten points. Ashley also set a new season-high mark in field goal percentage with 57%.

BT Luce was a one-man wrecking crew for Parke Heritage as he went 8 of 14 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. That's the most points Luce has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaac Pickel, who went 7 for 9 en route to 15 points and eight boards.

Attica's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Parke Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

Coming up, Attica will be playing in front of their home fans against Fountain Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Attica is facing Fountain Central at the right time seeing as Fountain Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Parke Heritage, they have already played their next matchup, an 85-58 win against Southmont on the 8th.
