Basketball Recap: Delta Piles Up the Points Against Millard

Delta had won four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 2-0 to make it five. They really took it to the Millard Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-44 win. 76 seems to be a good number for the Rabbits as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Bronco Bundy had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave him a new career-high. Korver Pace was another key player, putting up 13 points and five steals.

Delta was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millard only posted four.

As for Millard, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points over those games.

Despite the defeat, Millard had strong showings from Derk Memmott, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards, and Brogen Blad, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Coming up, Delta will head out on the road to square off against Tooele at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-68 win against Draper APA on the 20th.
