Softball Recap: Herrin Comes Up Short

Herrin lost against Mt. Vernon back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Herrin came up short against Mt. Vernon, falling 11-1. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Herrin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branson Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Herrin now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mt. Vernon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Herrin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-11 win against Nashville on the 26th. Mt. Vernon has also already played their next game (against Richland County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
