Baseball Game Preview: King's Academy Knights vs. Burlingame Panthers

The King's Academy Knights will head out to face off against the Burlingame Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

King's Academy is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since May 28, 2024 on Friday. They lost 8-0 to Carlmont. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Burlingame was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Capuchino.

Dionisios Vorrises was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for King's Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
