Meanwhile, Belmont entered their tilt with Stoneham on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans.
Belmont never let Stoneham on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-22.
Belmont was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 33 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Reading Memorial's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Belmont, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
