Jackson South Side waltzed into their match on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the McNairy Central Bobcats 71-35. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Leading Jackson South Side to victory were Aydison Dilworth and Jaidynn Askins. Dilworth dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 boards, while Askins went 10 for 12 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Askins has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Newble, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Jackson South Side smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.

Jackson South Side's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for McNairy Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
