Basketball Recap: Odyssey Institute Comes Up Short

Odyssey Institute saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a blow against the Payson Longhorns, falling 61-4. The contest marked the Minotaur's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Adamaris Aguilar and Shelby Hunt, who each put up two points.

Hannah Sarnowski was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten steals for Payson. Sarnowski has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne McLellan, who posted seven points and seven steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Odyssey Institute and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Payson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Odyssey Institute didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-11 loss against Horizon Honors on the 3rd. As for Payson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-28 win against Glendale Prep Academy on the 3rd.
