Softball Recap: California Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the California Grizzlies didn't have quite enough to beat the Mountain House Mustangs and fell 3-2.

Audrey Cotton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, California saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayda Crosby, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

California's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mountain House, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

California has already played their next contest, a 15-3 victory against College Park on the 11th. As for Mountain House, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against Livingston on the 6th.
