Ethan Guerra was instrumental in extending Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's winning streak to eight on Friday. Guerra turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 195 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 30 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Alvin Edwards stepped things up a notch to give Harlingen South the 'W'. Donna had no answer to Edwards as he rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Edwards was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards.

Edwards must have Donna's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Edwards rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries the last time he and the Redskins duked it out back in November of 2023.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Charlebois and Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will head out to challenge Weslaco East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Flour Bluff picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cameron Johnson. Donna North had no answer to Johnson as he rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns.

Flour Bluff pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Johnson and Flour Bluff will welcome Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
