Baseball Recap: Desert Mountain Takes a Loss

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Willow Canyon Wildcats.

Desert Mountain saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Durben, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Willow Canyon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Desert Mountain will welcome Arizona College Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Willow Canyon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-7 win against Alhambra on the 14th.
