John Marshall skates past East with ease

The John Marshall Lawyers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East 39-7 at home. That's another feather in the cap for John Marshall, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Leading John Marshall to victory were Jayleena Orozco and Sarah Abed. Orozco scored 7 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals, while Abed scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Danielle Brown was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 rebounds.

John Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Marshall will take on Our Lady of the Elms at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for East, they will be playing at home against Chaney at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
