Basketball Game Preview: Lakewood Tigers vs. Summit Tigers + How To Watch

Lakewood will be taking part in a tournament against Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lakewood lost 46-23 to Fairview on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caroline Bane, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Saylor Slaughter, who put up five points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Summit took on Evergreen on Saturday. The Tigers lost to the Cougars on the road by a 43-28 margin.

Summit now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lakewood and Summit were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but Lakewood came up empty-handed after a 49-48 loss. Can Lakewood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
