Soccer Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

If Madison was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Conneaut on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Streaks fell just short of the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Madison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin are ranked 88th).

Madison's goal came courtesy of Gracie Bregy, who's now up to three this season.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-2. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Madison didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Hawken on the 20th. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they are taking a road trip to take on St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Joseph Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin surely won't give up without a fight.
