Basketball Recap: Deerfield Takes a Loss

Deerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 44-30 to the Pawnee Heights Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 38-17 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Deerfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Pawnee Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pawnee Heights beat Deerfield by a score of 44-30 on Tuesday.
