Recap: Menlo School Knights vs. Live Oak Acorns
The Live Oak Acorns typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Menlo School Knights proved too difficult a challenge. Menlo School came out on top in a nail-biter against Live Oak and snuck past 30-28. That's another feather in the cap for Menlo School, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Menlo School was led to victory by Mikey McGrath and Willis Johnson. McGrath rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while Johnson rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown.
Menlo School pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Live Oak, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-1.
Menlo School will take on Christopher at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Live Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
