Recap: John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles vs. East Tech Scarabs

After a string of three wins, the John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Tech. The result was an unpleasant reminder to John F. Kennedy of the 59-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Several Fighting Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jermaine Burson, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Damairus Logan, who scored eight points.

George Thomas was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points for East Tech. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Copley, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

John F. Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for East Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John F. Kennedy will take on John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Marshall has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matchups. As for East Tech, they will be playing at home against Bard Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully East Tech is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bard Early College in Ohio (East Tech is ranked 346th, while Bard Early College is ranked 735th).
