Baseball Recap: Mica Mountain Takes a Loss

Mica Mountain fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Walden Grove on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Wolves by a score of 14-13. The Thunderbolts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Wolves earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Elijah Higuera led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. He has become a key player for Mica Mountain: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Raydon Rocha, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Mica Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Walden Grove, their record now sits at 9-7.
