Basketball Game Preview: Curtis Baptist Crusaders vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions

Despite the defeat, Curtis Baptist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayden Husband almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine blocks. Husband has become a key player for the Crusaders: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least five blocks, but 2-6 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Williamsburg Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Lions 63-19. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-10.

Williamsburg Academy's win came from a few key players Curtis Baptist will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ethan Jones, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Caulder, who scored 12 points.

Williamsburg Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Curtis Baptist, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
