Basketball Recap: Crestview Piles Up the Points Against Academy for Urban Scholars

After only 30 points in their last game, Crestview made sure to put some points up on the board against Academy for Urban Scholars on Tuesday. The Rebels blew past the Hawks 69-21. The Rebels pushed the score to 62-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks had no chance of recovering from.

Crestview can attribute much of their success to Tyler Savage, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Savage a new career-high. Grant Gerner was another key player, putting up ten points.

The victory got Crestview back to even at 1-1. As for Academy for Urban Scholars, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Crestview is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Springfield at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Academy for Urban Scholars, they will face off against McKinley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
