Baseball Game Preview: Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles vs. Laguna Beach Breakers

The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Laguna Beach Breakers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Capistrano Valley Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Capistrano Valley Christian gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Western Christian.

Braden Butler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Diego Magee was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Laguna Beach waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Tartans 12-1.

Laguna Beach pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
