Softball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

If East Ridge was riding high fresh off their 17-5 takedown of Hurley last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. East Ridge fell just short of the Martin County Cardinals by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

East Ridge's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Martin County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, East Ridge will venture away from home to challenge Prestonsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Martin County has already played their next game (against Belfry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
