Basketball Recap: Centennial Takes Down Central in a Playoff Battle

Centennial had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 52-48 W over the Central Cobras on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

Jeremy Felix continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8-for-11 on his way to 23 points. His evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Vic Jackson was another key player, putting up seven points and 11 boards.

Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Christian Maxon, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 16 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Joseph Gayle, who went 7-for-16 en route to 17 points and six rebounds.

Centennial's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7. As for Central, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 18-9.
