Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Riley Huck and Genna Lehocki Lead Warrensburg to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Argyle, Warrensburg was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Granville Golden Horde by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Burgers in their matchups with the Golden Horde: they've now won five in a row.

Warrensburg had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-11.

Warrensburg was led to victory by Genna Lehocki and Riley Huck. Lehocki had nine kills, nine aces, and one block, while Huck had 16 digs and three aces. Huck is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Taylor Lehocki was another key player, getting five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Warrensburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 28 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Warrensburg's record is now 2-3. As for Granville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Warrensburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Hadley Luzerne on the 23rd. As for Granville, they will be playing at home against Argyle at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
