Peach County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Berkmar Patriots, posting a 56-8 victory. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Patriots are ranked 363rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peach County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Reis, who rushed for 163 yards and one score on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Ellison, who rushed for 163 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Peach County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 371 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Despite the loss, Berkmar still got an impressive performance from Davian Johnson, who threw for 155 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Peach County's record now sits at 3-0. As for Berkmar, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peach County will host Crisp County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berkmar, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
