Basketball Game Preview: Cuthbertson Cavaliers vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets

The Cuthbertson Cavaliers are taking a road trip to square off against the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cuthbertson is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Cuthbertson came up short against Weddington on Friday, falling 62-41. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Warriors are ranked 83rd).

Meanwhile, Forest Hills blew past Central Academy, posting a 54-23 win. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Forest Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Cuthbertson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Cuthbertson was able to grind out a solid victory over Forest Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, winning 50-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cuthbertson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
