Volleyball Recap: Grove City Christian's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

The Grove City Christian Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Hamilton Township Rangers on Thursday and fell 3-2. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Grove City Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 25-15, 12-25, 15-13.

Riese Braunm paced Grove City Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Braunm got some help from Lydia Lee and her 26 assists. Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grove City Christian fell to 3-1. As for Hamilton Township, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grove City Christian will face off against Miller at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton Township, they will head out to face off against Washington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
