Magnolia Science Academy Reseda fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lake Balboa College Prep on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Leading Lake Balboa College Prep to victory were ASHOT ABRAMYAN and ARMEN BOURSALIAN. ABRAMYAN posted 23 points, while BOURSALIAN had 21 points. Those 23 points gave ABRAMYAN a new career-high. MICHAEL DAVTIAN was another key player, putting up seven points.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-42 win against Valor Academy on the 29th. Lake Balboa College Prep has also already played their next contest, a 72-56 loss against Fulton on the 27th.
