Volleyball Recap: North Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

North Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayden Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

North Park started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Jenna Sessions paced North Park's offense, picking up ten kills. Sessions were helped by Jacie Schneider and Paige Solano, who contributed 12 assists each. Solano was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

North Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Hayden, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.

North Park and Hayden could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Wildcats will take on Hi-Plains at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (323 vs. 64). Meanwhile, Hayden (ranked 294th) will meet Vail Christian (ranked 86th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
