Richmond-Burton is a perfect 6-0 against Round Lake since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rockets will challenge the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richmond-Burton has three straight victories, Round Lake has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Richmond-Burton barely beat Stillman Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rockets put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-0 win on Saturday. The Rockets not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12th (when they won 16-5).

Round Lake couldn't beat Wauconda on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Panthers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 24-7.

Round Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javier Rolon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Daniel Russ was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Round Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Richmond-Burton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.

Everything went Richmond-Burton's way against Round Lake in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Richmond-Burton made off with a 13-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
