Softball Recap: Mechanicsburg's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, Mechanicsburg finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, falling 6-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Mechanicsburg moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Cumberland Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mechanicsburg will venture away from home to take on Central Dauphin at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cumberland Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Altoona at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
