Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Moore vs. Merritt Island

The Bishop Moore Hornets will square off against the Merritt Island Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Bishop Moore is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Nature Coast Tech onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 16 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Merritt Island beat Titusville 3-1 on Tuesday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Terriers are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Moore is also on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 79 goals over those 19 games. As for Merritt Island, their win bumped their record up to 11-5-2.
