Baseball Game Preview: West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights vs. West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates

The West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights are taking a road trip to take on the West Windsor-Plainsboro South Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Windsor-Plainsboro North and eight for West Windsor-Plainsboro South.

West Windsor-Plainsboro North blew Princeton Day out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Princeton Day got their revenge. The Knights fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-7.

Meanwhile, West Windsor-Plainsboro South lost 17-6 to Hamilton on Thursday.

Thor Bernheisel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. He has become a key player for West Windsor-Plainsboro South: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-9 otherwise.

West Windsor-Plainsboro North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Windsor-Plainsboro South, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

West Windsor-Plainsboro North was able to grind out a solid victory over West Windsor-Plainsboro South when the teams last played last Thursday, winning 8-5. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
