Basketball Recap: Duanesburg Takes a Loss

Duanesburg entered their contest against Northville on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Duanesburg Eagles were outmatched by the Northville Falcons and fell 66-8. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Falcons are ranked 108th).

Duanesburg's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5. As for Northville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Duanesburg will be playing at home against Mekeel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northville, they will venture away from home to face off against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
