The St. John Paul II Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 67-58 win over North Florida Christian. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. John Paul II.

St. John Paul II's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mario Forbes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Forbes' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Thompson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
