Basketball Game Preview: Reagan County Owls vs. Christoval Cougars

The Reagan County Owls will venture away from home to face off against the Christoval Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Reagan County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Jayton just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 65-44 to the Jaybirds.

Meanwhile, Christoval strolled past Sterling City with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 58-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Christoval has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Reagan County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6.

Reagan County was dealt a bruising 70-37 loss at the hands of Christoval when the teams last played on January 3rd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Christoval's Bruce Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten boards.
