Baseball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Takes a Loss

Saint Ignatius College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Providence Catholic Celtics. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolfpack of the 10-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Ben Marasovich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's record now sits at 10-19. As for Providence Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11.

While Saint Ignatius College Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
