Basketball Recap: Harlan Takes a Loss

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Harlan was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were beaten by the Harlan County Black Bears 73-21. The Green Dragons have struggled against the Black Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Harlan County, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harlan will venture away from home to take on Whitley County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitley County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Harlan likes a good challenge. As for Harlan County, they will take on Knox Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Knox Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Harlan County surely won't give up without a fight.
