Basketball Recap: First Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-18, which was the final score in the First Baptist Academy Eagles's tilt against the Farragut Admirals on Tuesday.

Leading Farragut to victory were Reid Vining and Britton Lewis. Vining shot 67% from the field en route to 12 points and eight boards, while Lewis went 5-for-6 on his way to 11 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Lewis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Foshie, who posted six points.

First Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Farragut, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist Academy will take on Christian Academy of Knoxville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farragut, they will square off against Maryville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
