Baseball Recap: Roy Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bonneville

There's no place like home for Roy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Bonneville Lakers by a score of 4-1 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Royals: when they faced off against the Lakers on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Connor Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Roy's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Young, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI. The Royals are 4-2 when Young posts three or more RBI, but 7-10 otherwise.

Roy's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Bonneville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roy will take on Viewmont at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
